Enhancing Safety Training Performance Using Extended Reality: A Hybrid Delphi–AHP Multi-Attribute Analysis in a Type-2 Fuzzy Environment

Safety training effectively addresses the inexperience of and lack knowledge among construction workers, which are some most significant contributors to workplace accidents on sites. This paper aims understand effectiveness different extended reality (XR) technologies in imparting important safety workers a virtual environment compared conventional classroom sessions. A group experts were engaged effective learning criteria impact XR visualizations, their responses analysed using interval type-2 fuzzy Delphi (IT2FD) method. Following this, cohort engineering students subjected traditional, augmented (AR) (VR) environments. Their feedback was collected an online questionnaire analytic hierarchy process (IT2F–AHP). The results revealed that addressing interface design maintain attention trainees ensuring environment’s resemblance actual site task factors retention by trainees. AR visualizations at knowledge, interactive nature allowed retain learned knowledge.
